I have been feeling a bit ‘lost’ in my process lately, as the research process is triggering many of my own wounds, sth that makes my vision blur due to the pain that overtakes my territory…I know that this is common in heuristic, qualitative studies. My dear friend Lola (a slovac artist) send me a quote that cherishes the importance of the ‘gap’, the nothing between things:

About stillness, emptiness and silence:

“In the excess of today’s society of imagery the pause, the gap, the nothing between things is increasingly important. That was already clear to the modernists, at the very latest to the avant-garde artists of the 1960 and 1970s, with their radical accusations regarding the image. Confronted with a reality that is becoming increasingly incomprehensible in its complexity, this scepticism was expressed in strategies of refusal and in negation of representation.” by Hatje Kantz
